Juniata Pulls Away in Second-Half

Center Valley, PA (September 23, 2015) – A tight game at the half was broken open in the second-half as Juniata College scored five second-half goals en route to a 6-1 run over the DeSales University field hockey team on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Bulldogs (1-6) hung tight with the Eagles (3-4) in the first-half as JC enjoyed a 1-0 lead on a goal in the 28th minute.
 
It remained a one goal game 14 minutes into the second-half when Juniata scored five times in a span of 15:28 to ice the win.
 
DSU got on the board with 25 seconds left when freshman Chelsea DeFrancisco scored off a corner feed from junior Alexa Beaumont.
 
Freshman Savanna Lacek made 11 saves in between the pipes for the Bulldogs.
 
DeSales returns to action on Saturday when they host Eastern University in the first MAC Freedom game of the season beginning at Noon.
