Gabby Savite' and sophomore
Logan Wieziolowski each had 20+ kills in two matches leading the DeSales University volleyball team to two 3-0 wins on day one of the Bulldogs home invitational on Friday evening in Billera Hall.
Match #1Savite pounded down 17 kills and had just one error for a .696 hitting percentage, while adding a team-high 14 digs, as the Bulldogs rolled past Gwynedd-Mercy, 25-10, 25-13, 25-10. Wieziolowski added 10 kills and two blocks and freshman
Julie DePuyt had seven kills in the win.
Freshman
Natalie Gray had a rare double-double with 10 digs and 10 service aces and junior
Lisa Wallitsch finished with 37 assists and nine digs.
Match #2Wieziolowski led the attack in the second match with 11 kills and three blocks as DSU handled Rutgers-Camden, 25-12, 25-22, 25-18. Savite finished with nine kills and 11 digs, Gray totaled 21 digs, and Wallitsch dished out 35 assists.
Senior
Kait Anderson finished with nine kills and freshman
Taylor Antoniewicz finished with seven kills in the win.
The Bulldogs take on Washington College (MD) and Baruch College tomorrow in the final two matches of the weekend tournament at Noon and 2:00 pm.
