Oswego, NY (September 5, 2015) – SUNY-Oswego broke a scoreless tie in the 85
th minute handing the DeSales University women's soccer team its first loss of the season, 1-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (2-1), who had scored 15 goals in their first two games, took the field for the second time in less than 24 hours after a five plus hour trip last night and were just unable to get anything going offensively.
After a scoreless first-half that featured just eight total shots Oswego (2-1) broke thru in the 85
th minute when
Mary Morrison finished a header off a corner kick to give the hosts a 1-0 lead and DeSales was unable to find the equalizer.
Freshman
Haley Jacobs did make four saves in the loss for the Bulldogs.
DSU returns to action on Wednesday when they play its first home game of the season, hosting Albright College beginning at 4:00 pm.
