Center Valley, PA (September 9, 2015) – Four different players scored as the DeSales University women's soccer team recorded its third shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over Albright College on Wednesday afternoon in the first home game of the season for the Bulldogs.

Sophomore Angelica Bertola opened the scoring just 7:02 into the game taking a terrific pass thru the Lion (1-2) defense from junior Jess Wetherhold and beating the goalie for an open net shot.

Freshman Caroline Nealon made it a two-goal game in the 30th minute as she took a clear from the Albright defense off a free kick from Wetherhold and fired a shot from about 30 yards out just under the cross bar and thru the goalkeeper's hands into the net.

Sophomore Rachel Logue got into the scoring 5:48 into the second-half knocking in a corner kick feed from sophomore Kelly Riley to make it 3-0 and junior Eve Barna put the exclamation point on the win scoring on a penalty kick after senior Jamie Barna drew a foul in the box in the 85th minute.

Freshman Haley Jacobs made one save to record her second shutout of the season in goal.  DSU had a 17-8 edge in shots and a 9-7 advantage in corner kicks for the game.

The Bulldogs return home and to action on Saturday when they host Haverford College beginning at 12:30 pm.
