Owings Mills, MD (October 1, 2016) - The DeSales University volleyball team dropped both ends of the MAC Crossover on Saturday afternoon at Stevenson University falling to Messiah College and host Stevenson in non-conference action.
Match #1 (L/0-3 vs. Messiah)
The Bulldogs (11-8) came out flat in the first match vs. the Falcons falling 25-15, 25-10, 25-18 to start the day. Â DSU hit just .090 for the match and were led by seniorÂ
Jess Swanson with nine kills.  SeniorÂ
Lisa Wallitsch finished with 24 assists moving her into second place on the all-time assist list and sophomoreÂ
Natalie Gray had 20 digs in the loss.
Match #2 (L/1-3 vs. Stevenson)
DSU started quickly taking the first set, 25-23, before dropping the next three by scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-13. Â SophomoreÂ
Gabby Savite`Â led the attack with 11 kills and Swanson added 10 in the loss. Â FreshmanÂ
Morghan Shoemaker finished with eight kills and three blocks.  Wallitsch totaled 29 assists and Gray had 15 digs.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Misericordia University for a MAC Freedom match beginning at 7:00 pm.
