Center Valley, PA (October 18, 2016) - The DeSales University volleyball team clinched no worse the #2 seed in the MAC Freedom Postseason Tournament with a 3-1 win (25-8, 25-20, 16-25, 25-16) win over Manhattanville College in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday evening in Billera Hall.
The Bulldogs (17-10, 5-1 MAC Freedom) cruised in the first set winning 25-8 before rallying from down 17-12 in the second set to win 25-20. Â The Valiants (13-7, 3-3 MAC Freedom) showed some fight with a 25-16 win in the third set before DSU took control early in the fourth set to win, 25-16.
This marks the 10th straight year DeSales has qualified for the MAC Freedom postseason and is the third straight year DSU will be the #2 seed.

Gabby Savite`Â led the charge once again on Tuesday totaling 13 kills and 19 digs in the win. Â SophomoreÂ
Taylor Antoniewicz finished with 10 kills and a season-high six blocks, while freshmanÂ
Morghan Shoemaker also had 10 kills and hit .346 for the match.

Lisa Wallitsch, playing in their last regular season home match in Billera Hall, also contributed. Â Swanson had five kills and Wallitsch finished with 37 assists and 16 digs. Â Wallitsch now has 3,932 assists, just 165 assists away from setting a new career program record.

Natalie Gray led the defense with 24 digs and totaled three service aces, while sophomoreÂ
Tanesia Rehrig added 11 digs.
The Bulldogs are back in action this weekend when they travel to Swarthmore College for a tournament on Friday and Saturday.
