Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 22, 2016) - The DeSales University women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss at Wilkes University on Saturday evening but still clinched a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament.
The Bulldogs (8-8, 4-2 MAC Freedom) enter the final week of the regular season with one game left in the MAC Freedom regular season tied for second place with Wilkes University. DSU has clinched a spot in the postseason and could still earn a home playoff game with a win Saturday vs. Eastern University and a Wilkes University tie or loss in its final regular season game.
After a scoreless first-half Wilkes (5-10, 4-2 MAC Freedom) got the game-winner with just over 20 minutes left when
Caroline Conner scored after a shot glanced off the post second earlier.
The Colonels had an 11-6 edge in shots, while the Bulldogs took all three corner kicks in the game.

Emily Hoats made five saves in the loss.
The Bulldogs are off all week finishing the regular season at home hosting Eastern University in the regular season finale beginning at Noon.
