Center Valley, PA (October 29, 2016) - The DeSales University men's soccer team fell to Eastern University, 1-0, in the final regular season game of the season on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the loss the Bulldogs (9-8-2, 4-3 MAC Freedom) finish the regular season as the #4 seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament and will travel to top seed Misericordia University on Tuesday evening with game time set for 7:00 pm.

After a scoreless first-half Eastern (14-3-1, 5-2 MAC Freedom) broke the tie just 1:49 into the second-half when JD Saracco sent a shot into the box that was inadvertently re-directed by a DSU defender past the Bulldog keeper who had the save in his sights before the re-direction left him out of position as the ball slowly rolled into the net.

The Bulldogs had a few chances late in the half but were unable to capitalize as the Eagles earned the #2 seed with the win.  EU had a 9-3 advantage in shots and both teams had four corner kicks.

Junior Dan Sulpizio made two saves in the loss.
