Galloway, NJ (October 29, 2016) - The DeSales University volleyball team ran its win streak to five straight sweeping a tri-match at Stockton University on Saturday with wins over the Ospreys and Neumann University.
Match #1 (W/3-2 vs. Stockton)
After coming extremely close last weekend, losing a tough five-setter to Stockton, the Bulldogs this time grinded out a five-set win over the Ospreys by scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-19, 12-25, 15-9 to earn its first win over SU since the 1998 season.  DSU hit .161 for the match and totaled 81 digs to earn the win.
Sophomore 
Gabby Savite` led the charge with 15 kills and added 13 digs, while freshman 
Jenna Sievert had one of her best matches of the season totaling 14 kills and hitting .294.  Freshman 
Morghan Shoemaker added 10 kills and hit .214 and added four blocks and senior 
Jess Swanson finished with 10 kills.
Senior 
Lisa Wallitsch dished out 52 assists, had three aces, and 17 digs, sophomore 
Natalie Gray led the way on defense with 24 digs, and junior 
Bernadette Wood totaled 12 digs in the win.
Match #2 (W/3-0 vs. Neumann)
The Bulldogs completed the sweep winning the first two sets easily before battling for a 27-25 win in the third set over the Knights.  DSU hit .192 for the match and had 68 digs and eight aces.
Savite` again led the charge with 10 kills and 10 digs, hitting .257.  Shoemaker added eight kills and hit .350, while Swanson added seven kills.  Wallitsch totaled 31 assists, Gray finished with 18 digs, and Wood added three aces and 16 digs in the win.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Manhattanville College in the MAC Freedom Tournament semifinals with match time set for 7:00 pm in Billera Hall.
