Madison, NJ (October 5, 2016) - The DeSales University field hockey team snapped a four-game skid earning a 2-1 win over Drew University in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs (4-8) opened the scoring when sophomore Chelsea DeFrancisco scored unassisted taking control of clear attempt just inside circle and firing a shot into the cage.

Drew (2-7) tied the game at one in the 24th minute but DSU regained the lead with just 3:09 left on the first-half clock when junior Tess Luzi knocked in a pass from freshman Kylie Honnick-Payne.

The DeSales defense did the rest holding the Rangers at bay to earn the one-goal win.  DSU finished the contest witha  7-5 shot advantage and added a 6-2 edge in penalty corners.

Freshman Katarina Polyviou made one save in the cage.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they return to MAC Freedom action hosting Delaware Valley University at 2:00 pm.
