Men's Soccer Unbeaten Streak Snapped with 1-0 Loss to King's

Center Valley, PA (October 8, 2016) - The DeSales University men's soccer team saw its unbeaten streak end at seven with a 1-0 loss to King's College in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half King's (6-6, 1-1 MAC Freedom) was able to get the game-winner with just over 15 minutes left to play.  The Monarchs were awarded a free kick about 15 yards outside the box.  The kick was sent into the box where a Monarch headed it to the back post and Philip Kistner was there to head the ball off the crossbar and into the net after the game was stopped and the referee and linesman conferred that the entire ball did cross the line.

King's had a slim advantage on shots (10-9), while the Bulldogs (6-5-2, 1-1 MAC Freedom) had a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.

Junior Dan Sulpizio made five saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs are right back to action on Tuesday when they host Manhattanville College in another MAC Freedom game beginning at 3:00 pm.
