Center Valley, PA (March 26, 2016) – The DeSales University men's lacrosse team dropped its final non-conference game of the season, falling to Stockton University, 13-7, on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (0-7) controlled the first quarter taking a 1-0 lead and out-shooting Stockton (7-1), 13-5, in the quarter.
The Ospreys took control from there however scoring six second quarter goals to take a 7-3 lead at the half and out-scored DeSales, 7-4, in the second-half to record the final tally.
Stockton finished the game with a 45-36 advantage in shots and a 36-25 edge in ground balls. SU also won 20-of-23 face-offs.
Senior
Ryan Loughlin and sophomore
Bryan Weber each finished with two goals and an assist in the loss to lead DeSales. Juniors
Tyler Newman and
Justin Wilson each had one goal and one assist and sophomore
Joe Neggia finished with a goal in the loss. Junior
Austin Colish had four caused turnovers and freshman
Matt Barry finished with 11 saves.
The Bulldogs are off for 14 days now as they prepare for the MAC Freedom portion of the schedule which begins on Saturday, April 9
th when they host King's College beginning at 1:00 pm.
