Baseball Wins Second Straight, 3-2 at Schreiner

Kerrville, TX (March 8, 2016) – Junior Mike Kacergis knocked in two runs and sophomore Conner Lafferty knocked in the game winning run leading the DeSales University baseball team to its second straight win, 3-2, at Schreiner University on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Bulldogs (2-1) trailed 2-1 after four innings but tied the game at two in the sixth on Kacergis second RBI single of the game.  Lafferty then laced a double in the eighth inning scoring junior Tommy DePaul giving DSU a 3-2 lead and eventually the win.
 
Senior Steven Wallace pitched seven strong innings to earn his first win of the season allowing just four hits and one earned run and senior Chris Polaski earned his first save of the year pitching two scoreless hitless innings striking out four.
 
The Bulldogs are back at it tomorrow evening when they take on Texas Lutheran University.
