Center Valley, PA (April 27, 2016) – Senior
Chris Polaski tossed eight nearly flawless innings shutting down local rival Moravian College and leading the DeSales University baseball team to a 6-1 win in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
Polaski allowed just two hits over eight innings as Moravian (18-19) scored just one run, a solo home run, in the seventh inning as Polaski struck out three to earn his second win of the season in his first start of the year.
The Bulldogs (22-13) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning when sophomore
Conner Lafferty and senior
Alec Hardy each had RBI singles.
DSU added four more runs in the fourth inning when sophomore
Hunter Hart plated three runs on a bases clearing triple and scored on a throwing error from the Greyhound second baseman.
Hart finished the game 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs, while Lafferty, Hardy, and junior
Tyler Sweeney each had two hits.
The Bulldogs are back in action again tomorrow when they host Cairn University in another non-conference title beginning at 4:00 pm.
