Allentown, PA (September 10, 2016) - The DeSales University volleyball team rebounded from two losses on Friday night to sweep two matches on Saturday afternoon on day two of the Buttermaker Tournament hosted by Muhlenberg College.
DeSales swept both matches by a 3-0 score defeating Cabrini University first by scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-21 and Marymount University, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.
Match #1 (3-0 vs. Cabrini)
DSU hit .268 for the match and picked up 63 total digs to earn the win. Â FreshmanÂ
Morghan Shoemaker was outstanding posting an 11 kill, .625 hitting percentage line, while sophomoresÂ
Gabby Savite`Â andÂ
Taylor Antoniewicz each had eight kills.
SeniorÂ
Lisa Wallitsch finished with 33 assists and 11 digs, sophomoreÂ
Natalie Gray picked up a team-high 15 digs, and Savite` also reached double digit digs with 11.  Antoniewicz also had three blocks at the net.
Match #2 (3-0 vs. Marymount)
DeSales was led by Savite` who had 14 kills and nine digs. Â Shoemaker and Antoniewicz each ha seven kills and two blocks. Â Wallitsch totaled 33 assists and 11 digs, Gray finished with 15 digs, and sophomore
Tanesia Rehrig and freshmanÂ
Cristal Fernandez each had 14 digs.  Both Wallitsch and Gray totaled three aces.
Gray was the lone Bulldog honored on the All-Tournament Team.
