Center Valley, PA (September 10, 2016) - Senior Jess Wetherhold had two goals and an assist leading six different Bulldogs who found the back of the net leading the DeSales University women's soccer team past Utica College, 7-0, in non-conference action on a hot Saturday afternoon.

Wetherhold opened the scoring tallying her goal of the year, unassisted 11:24 into the game.  The Bulldogs (4-1) then exploded for four goals in a span of 4:32 to take a 5-0 lead essentially putting the game away.

Junior Gabby Lucchese started the string with her first of the year on assists from Wetherhold and freshman Meghan Williams.  Junior Angelica Bertola netted her eighth of the year just 1:27 later on an assist from Lucchese.  Williams then scored her first of the season on assists from Lucchese and Bertola and junior Kelly Riley finished off the scoring barrage with her first career goal on a free kick strike just above the box.

Wetherhold added her second of the game 11:44 into the second-half and junior Rachel Logue finished off the scoring just 51 seconds later on a header off a corner kick from freshman Sydney Amato.

Senior Emily Hoats, sophomore Haley Jacobs, and junior Shannon Pennella each saw action in goal to record the combined shutout, the third blanking of the year for the team.

DSU returns to action on Tuesday when they host Lebanon Valley College in a non-conference game beginning at 3:30 pm.
