Bethlehem, PA (September 20, 2016) - The DeSales University women's tennis team made its long awaited return from a six-year absence falling to local rival Moravian College, 8-1, in a non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon.
DSU (0-1) reinstated the sport of men's and women's tennis this fall after dropping it following the 2010 season with its first match in six years today.
The lone win on the afternoon came at #5 singles in which seniorÂ
Shannon O'Malley shook off a first set loss to defeat Moravian'sÂ
Aisling Doyle, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8).
The Bulldogs will return to action on Monday when they travel to Rosemont College for another non-conference match beginning at 3:30 pm.
