Center Valley, PA (September 28, 2016) - The DeSales University women's tennis team won its second straight match in its first home match of the season defeating Cedar Crest College, 5-1, in a rain shortened match on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (2-1) took two of three doubles matches as juniorÂ
Kelly Nguyen teamed with seniorÂ
Lindsay Driscoll to win 8-2 at the No. 1 spot and seniorÂ
Shannon O'Malley paired with freshmanÂ
Sarah Chan at the No. 3 spot to win 8-1.
In singles Nguyen won at the No. 1 spot after CCC'sÂ
Jamie Wojciechowski retired with Nguyen leading 4-1 in the first set and O'Malley and freshmanÂ
Amber Achenbach each won at the No. 5 and 6 spot to close out the match.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Albright College for another non-conference match beginning at 11:00 am.
