Max Cortina (Pittstown, NJ) scored unassisted just 1:22 into the first overtime lifting the DeSales University men's soccer team past King's College, 3-2, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday evening.
The Bulldogs (12-1-3, 4-0-2 MAC Freedom) are now unbeaten in 15 straight games and stay unbeaten in the MAC Freedom moving into first place with one game remaining in the MAC Freedom regular season. Â DSU can clinch the top seed and home field advantage in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament with a win or a tie at Eastern University on Saturday.

Cooper Moyer (Doylestown, PA/) scored his second goal of the season on an assist from junior
Alex DiRienzo (Newark, DE) and the Bulldogs made it 2-0 at the 53:27 mark when junior
Justin Habick (Effort, PA) scored his ninth goal of the season on a penalty kick.
King's refused to quit getting on the board at 62:08 scoring on a free kick on a quick re-start catching the Bulldogs defense off guard and the Monarchs tied it at two at 78:28 on a PK fromÂ

In the OT period, Cortina collected a ball just above the box, took several touches past a few King's defenders, breaking free and beating the Monarch keeper for the game-winner, his second tally of the year.

Dan Sulpizio (Philadelphia, PA) made three saves in between the pipes in the win.
DeSales is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to local rival Moravian College on Wednesday for a non-conference game beginning at 7:00 pm.
