Men's Soccer Ties at Moravian; Unbeaten in 16 straight

Bethlehem, PA (October 25, 2017) - The DeSales University men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to 16 with a double overtime 1-1 tie at local rival Moravian College on Wednesday evening in non-conference action.

The Bulldogs (12-1-4) have not lost a game since the first game of the season.  It was eighth seventh time this season DSU has played an overtime game.

Moravian (8-4-4) took the early lead at the 16:53 mark when Alec Aloia scored unassisted and that score stood midway thru the second-half.

In the 79th minute sophomore Tommy Gallagher (East Stroudsburg, PA) came thru with the game tying goal, the first of his career, scoring from just inside the box ripping a shot into the upper portion of the net.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in either overtime as freshman TJ Corcoran (Philadelphia, PA) made his first career start and stopped four shots for the Bulldogs.

DeSales finishes up the regular season on Saturday traveling to Eastern University needing a win or a tie to secure the top seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament.  Game time is set for 3:00 pm.
