Center Valley, PA (October 4, 2017) - The DeSales University men's tennis team won its fourth straight match to start the fall season defeating Alvernia University, 8-1, on Wednesday afternoon.
Doubles
The Bulldogs took two of the three doubles matches winning at No. 2 and 3 positions. Â Freshman
Dominic Ferraro (Nazareth, PA) and junior
Josh Ferraro (Nazareth, PA) earned an 8-1 win at the No. 2 spot, while senior
Brian Hayhurst (Millville, NJ) and sophomore
Ahmad Kanan (Allentown, PA) also won 8-1 in the No. 3 slot.
Singles
DeSales swept all six singles matches to close out the match. Â Freshman
Danny Lynn (Bethlehem, PA) continued his hot play winning 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot and junior
Jorey Ferraro (Nazareth, PA) was a 7-5, 6-3 winner in the No. 2 position. Â
Josh Ferraro was a 6-4, 7-5 winner in the No. 3 hole and sophomore
Ben Greb (Mifflinburg, PA) won 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 4 hole.
Rounding out the singles winners were D. Ferraro, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 and Kanan, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.
The Bulldogs are back in action on October 21st when they start play in the MAC Individual Tournament to end the Fall season.
