Williamsport, PA (November 18, 2017) - The DeSales University men's basketball team shot 57.9 percent in the opening half building a 21-point lead and never looked back in a 69-53 win over PSU-Wilkes Barre in the consolation game of the Dutch Birch Tip-off Tournament at Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Shaundell Fishburne (Southampton, NY) led the scoring attack with 12 points and junior
Luke Connaghan (Warrington, PA) had 11 points as the lone two players in double digits. Ten different players scored for the Bulldogs (2-1).

DSU took complete control of this game from the very start scoring the first 15 points of the game to open with a 15-0 lead as five different players scored. The lead was double digits the entire first-half after taking that 15-point lead and swelled to as many as 21 points three times including at the half, 36-15.
The lead peaked at 25 points (42-19) early in the second-half on a layup from sophomore
Tracy Simsick (Harleysville, PA) and never dipped below double figures the entire game.
The Bulldogs torched the nets in the first-half shooting 57.9 percent but hit just 30.4 percent in the second-half. DSU was very efficient from the line hitting 32-for-42 (76.2 percent) and took good care of the ball with just 11 turnovers.
Sophomores
Kweku Dawson-Amoah (Stewartsville, NJ) and
Alex House (Norristown, PA) each had nine points and House added three blocks in the win.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday when they host Moravian College in the Bulldogs home opener beginning at 8:00 pm.
