Center Valley, PA (November 21, 2017) - The DeSales University men's basketball team out-scored Moravian College, 44-14, in the paint and held the Greyhounds to just 31.1 percent shooting from outside the arc in a 73-67 win over the Greyhounds in non-conference action on Tuesday evening in Billera Hall.
Sophomore
Kweku Dawson-Amoah (Stewartsville, NJ) led the Bulldogs (3-1) with a career-high 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for his double-double of the season. Junior
Luke Connaghan (Warrington, PA) also posted a career-high with 18 points on a perfect 7-for-7 shooting night and grabbed six rebounds to lead the way. Senior
Shaundell Fishburne (Southampton, NY) finished with a team-high nine points off the bench and senior
Steven Ciotti (Yardley, PA)added eight points in the win.

MC led nearly the entire way in the first-half hitting 42.9 percent (9-for-21) from outside the arc over the first twenty minutes and took a five point cushion into the halftime locker room on a fall away jumper off the glass fromÂ
Oneil Holder as the first-half buzzer sounded.
The second-half was all DeSales.
DSU scored the first 13 points in the second-half to turn a five-point deficit into an 8-point lead that included five points from Ciotti and four from seniorÂ

Leading by five (52-47), the Bulldogs scored eight straight to take a 60-47 lead as Moravian opened the second-half hitting just 1-for-18 from downtown.
The lead was 14 (66-52) with 3:59 left when Moravian made one final push using a 9-1 run to get within two possessions (67-61) with 1:32 on the clock but consecutive lay-ups from Fishburne and two free throws from sophomore
Ben Pratt (Allentown, PA) spoiled the last minute rally handing the Greyhounds their first loss of the season.
DSU held Moravian to just 24.3 percent shooting from the field in the second-half and converted 68.4 percent on the other end over the final twenty minutes. The Bulldogs dominated the glass, out-rebounding Moravian, 45-31.
DeSales is off for a few days for the Thanksgiving day holidays and will return to action on Monday, November 29th when they host Catholic University in a non-conference game beginning at 6:00 pm.
