Bryan Weber scored four goals and added an assist leading the DeSales University men's lacrosse team past Arcadia University, 10-5, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (1-1) erased a 5-4 deficit scoring six unanswered goals to end the game for a five-goal win. After being tied at the half, AU (0-3) took a 5-4 lead with 4:44 to go in the third quarter but junior
Tommy Friedman tied the game at five with just 50 seconds left and DeSales dominated the fourth quarter.
Weber scored two goals to start the fourth period over the first five minutes giving DSU a 7-5 lead and seniors
Jake McNamara and
Justin Wilson each scored around another Weber goal to post the final tally.
Weber finished with five points and one won one face-off. In addition to McNamara, Wilson, and Friedman, freshman
Kevin Monaghan had two goals and an assist, freshman
Eric Magro scored once, junior
Josh Harman added four assists, and senior
Tyler Newman had one assist.
McNamara dominated the face-off circle winning 11-of-16 and had seven ground balls, senior
Sean Palen picked up six ground balls and four caused turnovers, freshman
Frank Krug finished with four ground balls and a team-high six caused turnovers, and sophomore
John Ramos totaled five ground balls in the win. Sophomore
Matt Barry had four saves in the win.
The Bulldogs won't return to action till next week when they take on Clark University on spring break in Clearwater, FL.
