Camden, NJ (March 11, 2017) - Rutgers-Camden scoring the first six goals of the game and had an 11-2 early in the second-half before the DeSales University women's lacrosse team battled back but fell short in a 14-9 loss on a chilly Saturday afternoon.
Camden (2-1) came out smoking hot scoring the first six goals and nine of the first 10 tallies taking a 9-2 lead into the locker room after a goal from juniorÂ

Rutgers scored the first two goals of the second half to take an 11-2 lead before the Bulldogs (1-4) scored four straight goals to pull within 11-6, including two tallies from juniorÂ

Sydney Kane with 8:59 left to play but both teams went scoreless over the next five minutes before Rutgers pushed the lead back up to five goals before the two teams traded tallies late.

Sydney Mursko (4a) each led the scoring attack.  Kingsland, Kane, and sophomoreÂ
Amanda Foley each had two goals and Meade finished with one goal.
Meade also led with four draw controls, picked up a team-high eight ground balls, and had five caused turnovers. Â FreshmanÂ
Mary O'Malley also played well with three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to be back in action on Wednesday when they return home to host Cedar Crest College at 4:00 pm.
