Bryn Mawr, PA (March 18, 2017) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team scored seven straight goals after a tie at two early and never looked back in a 14-4 win over Bryn Mawr College on Saturday afternoon.
Midway through the first-half BMC (0-4) tied the game at two at the 15:36 mark but the Bulldogs responded scoring seven straight goals, two each by juniorÂ
Danielle Burke and freshmanÂ
Katie Kingsland, taking a 9-2 lead and led 10-3 after a goal from Burke with 10 seconds left in the half and never looked back in the second-half.
DSU (2-4) dominated play out-shooting Bryn Mawr, 41-13, and forced 29 BMC turnovers in the game. Â DSU also had a 29-22 edge in ground balls.
Burke led the scoring attack with five goals and juniorÂ
Sydney Mursko had three goals and three assists for six points.  Kingsland finished with two goals and an assist and juniorÂ
Kelly Meade scored twice.  SophomoreÂ
Sydney Kane and freshmanÂ
Alyssa Mantzouranis each scored once and juniorÂ
Maggie Zaleski finished with an assist.
Burke had a team-high eight ground balls, three draw controls, and four draw controls, sophomoreÂ
Amanda Foley had a team-high four draw controls, and freshmanÂ
Katarina Polyviou finished with a team-best five caused turnovers and four ground balls.  SophomoreÂ
Lori King made eight saves in between the pipes.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Susquehanna University in a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm
