Women's Lacrosse Falls to Susquehanna, 15-4

Center Valley, PA (March 22, 2017) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team fell to Susquehanna University, 15-4, on a windy and chilly Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Bulldogs (2-5) started the game strong tied at one and hit the post twice with a chance to take a 2-1 lead before the River Hawks (4-3) took control scoring seven straight goals to end the half and nine straight overall to take a 10-1 lead and never looked back from there.

DSU won 13 of the 21 draw controls led by junior Kelly Meade picking up six and junior Danielle Burke adding four.  Burke also led the way with two goals and Meade and freshman Katie Kingsland had the other two goals in the loss.

Meade also finished with a team-high five caused turnovers and had four ground balls while Burke finished with a team-high five ground balls and three caused turnovers.  Sophomore Lori King totaled nine saves in between the pipes.

The Bulldogs are right back to action tomorrow when they host Cedar Crest College in another non-conference game beginning at 7:00 pm.
