Montclair, NJ (March 29, 2017) - The DeSales University baseball team saw its four-game winning streak snapped falling to Montclair State University, 5-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

MSU (5-10) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning and added two more in the fourth and fifth innings to lead 5-0.  DSU threatened in the seventh scoring one run on an RBI single from sophomore Nick White and had two runners on base with two outs but were unable to push anymore across.  The Bulldogs also left the bases loaded in the sixth inning.

Freshman Corey Hennessey took the loss allowing four earned runs over five innings pitched.  Junior Konner Schneider was outstanding out of the bullpen tossing three hitless innings, allowing just two baserunners.

Schneider earns TW Cooper Insurance Player of the Game honors for his efforts out of the pen.

DeSales returns to action tomorrow when they travel to Swarthmore College for a non-conference game set to begin at 3:30 pm.
