Amber Achenbach battled back from one set down to earn the clinching point in a third set tiebreak leading the DeSales University women's tennis team past Eastern Nazarene College, 5-4, in the first match of the Bulldogs' spring trip on Monday morning.

DeSales then came back to win four of the six singles matches to earn the win. Five of the six singles matches were decided in straight sets as the scored was tied at four. Achenbach had lost the the first set, 6-1, but battled back to take set #2, 6-2, advancing to a third set tiebreak she won, 10-7, to earn the fifth point for the Bulldogs at the No. 3 singles spot.
Other singles winners included senior
Shannon O'Malley winning 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot, senior
Melissa Tucker winning 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot, and Chan winning 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 6 spot.
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow when they take on Brevard College.
