Hilton Head, SC (March 7, 2017) - The DeSales University women's tennis team rolled to its sixth straight win on Tuesday afternoon in Hilton Head, 9-0, over Brevard College in its second match of its spring trip.
The Bulldogs lost just nine games in singles play in the win. Â DSU (6-1) took a 3-0 lead after doubles play as juniorÂ
Kelly Nguyen and freshmanÂ
Amber Achenbach teamed to win 8-5 at the No. 1 spot and freshmanÂ
Sarah Lightner and seniorÂ
Lindsay Driscoll won 8-2 at the No. 2 spot.
In singles Nguyen won 6-0, 6-4 at the No. 1 spot and Lightner took home a 6-1, 6-0 win at the No. 2 flight. Â Achenbach was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 3, seniorÂ
Shannon O'Malley won 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot, and seniorÂ
Melissa Tucker won 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot.
DSU won the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles by default.
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow morning when they take on Defiance College.
