Hilton Head, SC (March 9, 2017) - The DeSales University women's tennis extended its win streak to eight straight defeating Heidelberg University, 8-1, in its last match of the spring trip down south.
DSU swept all three doubles matches to open up a 3-0 lead as juniorÂ
Kelly Nguyen teamed with freshmanÂ
Amber Achenbach to win 9-8 (7-2) at the No. 1 position, seniorÂ
Lindsay Driscoll and freshmanÂ
Sarah Lightner won 8-5 in the No. 2 spot, and freshmanÂ
Sarah Chan and seniorÂ
Melissa Tucker earned a 9-8 (10-8) win at the No. 3 spot.
In singles play, Nguyen earned a hard fought comeback win, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8) in the No. 1 spot and Achenbach was an 8-2 winner in the No. 3 spot. Â SeniorÂ
Shannon O'Malley was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at the No. 4 spot, Tucker won 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 5 spot, and Chan won 8-2 in the No. 6 spot.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action back home on March 21st when they host Arcadia University beginning at 3:00 pm.
