Wilkes-Barre, PA (April 1, 2017) - The DeSales University men's tennis team fell just short in the MAC Freedom opener falling at King's College, 5-4, on Saturday afternoon.
DSU (2-7, 0-1 MAC Freedom) fell behind 2-1 after doubles action as freshmanÂ

Brian Hayhurst won in the No. 3 spot, 8-6.
The Bulldogs then split six singles matches with Nos. 4, 5, and 6 all winning. Â SophomoreÂ

Jake McKinney each dropped the first set but came back to win third set tiebreaks in the No. 4 and 5 positions.  Ferraro won 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) and McKinney won 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-4).  In the No. 6 spot, Hayhurst was a 6-4, 6-4 winner.
DeSales is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Delaware Valley University for another MAC Freedom match beginning at 3:00 pm.
