Wilkes-Barre, PA (April 1, 2017) - The DeSales University women's tennis broke the recrod for consecutive wins with its 11th straight victory opening MAC Freedom play with a 9-0 win over King's College on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are now 11-1, winning 11 straight and surpassing the previous mark of 10 set by the 2005 team when they opened the season 10-0.
DSU had little trouble again on Saturday winning all nine matches for the sixth time during this streak. Â JuniorÂ

In singles, Nguyen was a 6-3, 6-2 winner in the No. 1 spot, Lightner won 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 2 spot, and Achenbach was a 6-1, 6-2 winner in the No. 3 flight. Â Tucker won 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 4 hole, freshmanÂ
Sarah Chan won 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 5 hole, and freshmanÂ
Kelsey Kazlauskas was a 6-2, 6-0 winner in the No. 6 position.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Delaware Valley University for a MAC Freedom match beginning at 3:00 pm.
