Center Valley, PA (May 1, 2017) - The DeSales University baseball team won its fifth straight game Monday afternoon with a 9-2 win over local rival Muhlenberg College in non-conference action at Butz Field.

Robbie Hopes before the Bulldogs (22-14) took control with a five run second inning.  FreshmanÂ
Sergio Diaz knocked in DSU's first run with an RBI single, freshmanÂ
Michael White had an RBI, sophomoreÂ
Preston Amato had a two-RBI single and the Bulldogs scored a run on a wild pitch.
Leading 6-2 in the fifth inning, Diaz had an RBI double plating sophomoreÂ
Tommy Epsaro that hit the base of the wall in right field and scored two batters later on an RBI groundout from seniorÂ

Pat Rhoads knocked in the game's final run with an RBI base knock in the eighth inning.

Felix Martinez Jr. improved to 6-1 on the bump pitching five strong innings allowing four hits and two runs.  Diax had two hits, two runs, and two RBIs, while White and Epsaro also scored twice.
