Wilkes-Barre, PA (September 17, 2017) - The DeSales University men's tennis team took home three individual titles opening the fall season at the King's College Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
Singles
#1 Flight
Freshman
Danny Lynn had an impressive collegiate debut winning two matches to win the #1 singles flight individual title. Â He defeated Alijah Broadnax of Cabrini, 7-5, 6-1, in the semifinals before topping Nathan Carl of King's, 6-2, 7-5, in the championship match.
#2 Flight
Junior
Jorey Ferraro earned a semifinal win over Vince Paetow of Cabrini, 7-5 (7-5), 1-6, 1-0 (9-7) before falling to Tyler Millan of King's, 6-2, 6-2 in the championship match.

Sophomore
Ben Greb fell in the first round to Bryon Scholl of Misericordia, 4-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-7).

Junior
Josh Ferraro won 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 1-0 (10-6) over Josh Mesaris of King's in the semifinals before falling to Ben Mead of Cabrini, 6-0, 6-2 in the championship match.

Freshman Cameron Germano fell to Julian LeMaire of Elizabethtown, 6-4, 6-3 in the opening round.

Senior
Brian Hayhurst was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Ethan Snyder of Misericordia in the first round and defeated John Shebby of Marywood, 6-3, 6-1 in the semifinals. Â In the championship match he fell to Cameron Tuck of King's, 6-1, 6-2.

Sophomore
Ahmad Kanan earned two wins including a 6-0, 6-3 win over Rick Sun from Marywood in the first round and Alec Schneider of Elizabethtown, 6-3, 6-2 in the semifinals. Â In the championship match he fell to Jason Homschek of King's, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4).

Freshman
John Karaban and
Dominic Ferraro each won semifinal matches with Karaban defeating Ulises Munoz-Santos of Marywood, 6-0, 6-0 and Ferraro besting Ryan Kopishke of King's, 7-5, 6-2. Â In the championship match Ferraro defeated Karaban, 6-3, 6-3 to take home the title.

Lynn and
Jorey Ferraro fell in the semifinals, 8-2, to Martin and Spinello of Elizabethtown.

Greb and
Josh Ferraro dropped their first round match to Falcone and Mead of Cabrini, 8-2.

Hayhurst and
Dominic Ferraro earned a first round win over Shebby and O'Rourke of Marywood, 8-1, before falling to Como and DeMaria of Cabrini, 8-2, in the semifinals.

Germano and Kanan earned two wins to take home the title defeating Tilley and Dalton from Cabrini, 8-2, in the semfinals and Kopishke and Homschek of King's, 8-5, in the championship.
