Erie, PA (September 2, 2017) - The DeSales University men's soccer team dropped its 2017 season opener, 3-0, at PSU-Behrend in the first game of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament on Satuday afternoon.
The Bulldogs fall to the consolation game where they will face Baldwin-Wallace University on Sunday beginning at Noon.
The tournament host took a 1-0 lead on Saturday in the 16th minute as that score stood into the half. Â The Nittany Lions got insurance goals in the 71st and 85th minute of the second-half to earn the season-opening win.
DSU was out-shot 13-7 in the game. Â SeniorÂ
Dan Sulpizio made seven saves in the loss.
