Erie, PA (September 3, 2017) - Freshman Chris Tocchet scored his first career goal leading the DeSales University men's soccer team past Baldwin-Wallace University in the consolation game of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament at PSU-Behrend on Sunday afternoon.

Tocchet scored off a beautiful cross from senior Charlie Jerry in th 41st minute giving DSU a 1-0 lead it would not relinquish.

The Bulldogs defense led by senior Dan Sulpizio allowed just seven shots as Sulpizio made five saves to preserve the shutout and the win.

DSU had nine shots and BWU held a slim 6-4 advantage on corner kicks.

DeSales is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Cabrini University with game time set for 7:00 pm.
