Center Valley, PA (September 21, 2017) - Sophomore Kylie Honnick-Payne (Johnson City, NY) tied the single-game record with four goals leading the DeSales University field hockey team to an 8-1 win over Bryn Athyn College on Thursday evening.

The win is the fifth of the season for the Bulldogs (5-2) as they out shot the Lions (1-5), 31-1, for the game and had a 21-1 advantage on corners.

Sophomore Christie Hansen (San Diego, CA) opened the scoring 7:10 into the game and finished with two goals and one assist for the game.  Honnick-Payne scored the next two goals to make it 3-0 and added two more to open the second-half scoring.

Senior Maggie Zaleski (Arnold, MD) got into the scoring act re-directing a pass from sophomore Claire Gogel (Danielsville, PA) and Gogel got her first goal of the season 10 minutes later on an assist from freshman Grace Denarski (Lawrenceville, NJ) to round out DSU's scoring.  Junior Chelsea DeFrancisco (Bethlehem, PA) had one assist as well in the win.

Sophomore Katarina Polyviou (Cranford, NJ) and freshman Jackie de Raismes (Port Murray, NJ) combined to each play one half in the win.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they open up MAC Freedom play at Delaware Valley University with game time set for 5:00 pm.
