Center Valley, PA (September 23, 2017) - The DeSales University women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net for third time this season falling to Stevenson University, 2-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs fell behind 1-0 at the half when the Mustangs (5-3) scored a back-breaking goal just 30 seconds before the halftime horn.
DeSales had an opportunity mid-way thru the second-half to even the score when senior
Rachel Logue (Burlington, NJ) had a penalty kick but the Mustang keeper was up to the task knocking the attempt on net away and preserving the one goal lead.
Stevenson then got its insurance goal at 72:52 when Lauren Spivey scored posting the final margin.
DSU out-shot Stevenson, 8-4, and had a slim 3-2 advantage in corner kicks for the game.
Junior
Haley Jacobs (Bloomsbury, NJ) made two saves in between the pipes.
DeSales is back in action on Tuesday when they host Muhlenberg College in another non-conference game set to begin at 4:00 pm.
