Gabby Savite` totaled 24 kills to tie the all-time record for kills as the DeSales University volleyball team split a tri-match with a win over McDaniel and a four-set loss to Muhlenberg in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

- Final Score: DeSales - 3, McDaniel - 0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-23); Muhlenberg - 3, DeSales - 1 (26-28, 24-26, 25-23, 17-25)
- Records: DeSales (19-8 overall); McDaniel (16-6 overall); Muhlenberg (18-7 overall)
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs hit .160 and won three close sets in the straight set win over McDaniel.
- The McDaniel match featured 28 ties and 18 lead changes but DSU finished each strong to earn the win.
- In the Muhlenberg match, DSU was in complete control in set #1 leading 24-18 before the Mules battled back to win 28-26. MC took the second set, 26-24, before DSU won a close third 25-23 before running out of gas in the fourth set to fall 25-17.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Savite' finished with two double-doubles including 14 kills and 14 digs in the win over McDaniel and 10 kills and 16 digs in the loss to Muhlenberg.
- She now has 1,617 career kills which ties her with Hall of Famer, Christa Hannis, and will enter next match needing just one kill to break a record that has stood since the 1996 season.
- Sophomore Grace Merritt also played well totaling 24 kills with 14 vs. Muhlenberg and 10 vs. McDaniel.
- Junior Morghan Shoemaker had six kills and six blocks vs. McDaniel and 12 kills and six blocks vs. Muhlenberg.
- Sophomore Noel Kelly totaled 11 kills vs. Muhlenberg.
- Freshman Audrey Wolfe had 30 assists and five blocks vs. McDaniel and 45 assists and four blocks vs. Muhlenberg.
- Senior Natalie Gray was outstanding on defense totaling 21 digs vs. McDaniel and 34 digs vs. Muhlenberg.
For the Foes
- McDaniel was led by Allie Lugar with 10 kills.
- Muhlenberg got 21 kills and 25 digs from Kelly Tornetta and Shannon Hubert finished with 57 assists and 21 digs.
