Bethlehem, PA (November 20, 2018) - The DeSales University men's basketball team commited a season-high 25 turnovers dropping its annual showdown with cross-town rival Moravian College, 84-78, at Johnston Hall on Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs were in control opening up a 14-5 lead very early and continued to lead by nine (21-12) at the 11:11 mark of the first-half.
- A three-point play from senior Luke Connaghan saw DSU leading by five (29-24) at the 5:29 mark when Moravian finished the half on a 12-2 run to take a 38-33 lead into the locker room.
- DeSales scored the first four points of the second-half to get within one point (38-37) before a 7-1 Greyhound run pushed their lead up to seven (45-38) at the 15:59 mark.
- It was an uphill battle the rest of the way as the Bulldogs could never get any closer than five points before Moravian pulled ahead with six quick points at the 8:55 mark to take its first double digit lead of the game (60-48) at the 8:55 mark.
- DSU pulled to within nine points twice the rest of the way but was unable to climb all the way back.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Connaghan led DSU with 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
- Sophomore Matt Kachelries had a strong effort flirting with a triple-double totaling nine points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
- Junior Tracy Simsick had 16 points.
- Junior Ben Pratt finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, and six steals.
For the Foes
- Oneil Holder had a team-high 14 points.
- Jimmy Murray finished with 13 points and Will Brazukas added 12 points in the win.
Inside the Box Score
- DSU shot a very respectable 50.0 percent from the floor but made just 3-of-15 from downtown.
- Moravian hit 11 three's and shot 42.3 percent from deep.
- The Greyhounds scored 22 points off DSU"s 25 turnovers, while DSU dominated the paint, out-scoring Moravian, 40-24.
- DeSales had a large advantage on the glass out-rebounding Moravian, 38-24.
