Madison, NJ (December 5, 2018) - Senior 
Bridget Walsh pulled down a career-high tying 18 rebounds and tied the single-game record with eight blocks as the DeSales University women's basketball team held FDU-Florham to just 15 second-half points in a 67-46 win in the MAC Freedom opener on Wednesday evening.
The Basics

How it Happened
	- After falling down 8-4 early, DSU used an 18-3 run to end the first quarter opening up a 22-11 lead before holding a nine-point advantage after one quarter of play.
- DSU went ice cold in the second quarter hitting just 4-for-15 from the field as the Devils clawed back into the game and trailed by just two at the break (33-31).
- The second-half was all DeSales as the Bulldogs held FDU to just 15 points and to 5-for-28 from the field in the second-half in the win.
- DeSales had a 12-2 run to start the third quarter and never really looked back from there out-scoring the Devils, 34-15 in the second half.
Top Bulldog Performers
	- Walsh equaled her career-high with 18 boards and blocked a career-high and single-game record tying eight shots for the second time this season.  It is the fifth time in team history a player has blocked shots, twice by Walsh who moves into fifth place all-time with 125 career blocked shots.  She just missed a double-double finishing with nine points.
- Freshman Averi Jordan and senior Leandra Sterner each had 14 points to lead the scoring attack.
- Junior Molly Jansco came off the bench to total nine points and senior Morgan Birmelin finished with seven points and four assists.
For the Foes
	- Raven Dowling had 12 points and Kayla Croswell finished with 10 points to lead the Devils.
Inside the Box Score
	- DeSales dominated the glass out-rebounding FDU, 61-43 and had 20 second chance points.
- DSU forced 19 Devil turnovers, scoring 20 points off those miscues.
- The Bulldogs were outstanding from the free throw line hitting 22-of-27 (81.5%).
