Women's Lacrosse Sets More Records in 14-4 Win over Rutgers-Camden

Center Valley, PA (March 17, 2018) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team recorded its first-ever winning streak winning its second straight, 14-4, over Rutgers-Camden in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • DeSales dominated the first-half out-scoring the Scarlet Raptors, 8-0, and out-shooting Rutgers-Camden, 20-8.
  • Camden scored the first two goals of the second-half to get within six but the Bulldogs answered with three straight to take an 11-2 lead and never looked back.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Senior Danielle Burke and sophomore Katie Kingsland each had four goals to lead the offense.
  • Freshman Eilis McCall and Julia Astram added two goals a piece.
  • Freshman Salena Bateman scored her first career goal, junior Amanda Foley and senior Sydney Mursko each had an assist, and freshman Sami Stahl finished with a goal and assist.
  • Foley won a team-high four draw controls.
  • Freshman Katie Stordy had a team-best five ground balls.
  • Freshman Rachel Sheubrooks made eight saves and allowed just four goals in the win.
For the Foes
  • Nicole Curry had a team-high two goals.
  • Kacie Walton picked up a game-high seven ground balls.
  • Brittany Watson made 12 saves in between the pipes.

  • The four goals allowed is the third lowest amount allowed in team history after allowing just two goals twice last year.
  • The Bulldogs out-shot Rutgers, 45-21, and had a 31-23 advantage in ground balls.
