Danielle Burke (Philadelphia, PA) scored five goals and the DeSales University women's lacrosse team held off a late charge earning a 12-11 win over Delaware Valley University in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs never trailed in this one scoring the first two goals of the game and had an 8-5 lead the half.
- DSU made it 9-5 to start the second-half before the Aggies scored three straight to pull within one at 9-8 with just over 20 minutes left to play.
- The two teams traded goals over the next 18 minutes as freshman Julia Astram (Milford, CT) scored a big goal with 5:25 to go giving DeSales a two-goal lead once again.
- Delaware Valley scored with 2:29 and after a turnover following the draw control, had several chances to tie the game but freshman Rachel Sheubrooks (Halethorpe, MD) made several clutch saves and fellow freshman Katie Stordy (Westfield, IN) ran out the clock on the clear.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Burke had five goals to lead the scoring attack.
- Senior Kelly Meade (Philadelphia, PA) had three goals, seven ground balls, won eight draw controls, and caused two turnovers.
- Freshman Sami Stahl (Granby, CT) scored twice, Stordy added a goal and an assist, and senior Sydney Mursko (Milford, CT) finished with two assists.
- Sheubrooks totaled 11 saves in net.
For the Foes
- Claire Gamache had three goals and one assist and Amanda McKeegan finished with three goals.
- Taylor Teliszewski finished with two goals and two assists.
- Janee' Rhone, Kara Imes, and Sabrina Butler each had one goal.
- Imes won 10 draw controls.
- Amanda Dietrich made 18 saves and picked up five ground balls.
