Center Valley, PA (April 18, 2018) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team fell to FDU-Florham, 18-7, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened

• DeSales hung tough over the first 17 minutes erasing an early 3-1 deficit to tie the game at three and trailed by just two (5-3) 17 minutes into the game before the Devils six of the seven goals over the final 12:46 of the half to take an 11-4 lead at the break.
• The Devils then out-scored the Bulldogs 7-3 in the second-half to post the final tally.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Freshman Sami Stahl and Julia Astram each had two goals to lead the scoring.
• Senior Kelly Meade and freshman Eilis McCall each had one goal and one assist and junior Katie Kingsland had one goal.
• Senior Sydney Mursko tallied one assist.
• Freshman Katie Stordy had two caused turnovers, four ground balls, and three draw controls.
• Freshman Rachel Sheubrooks finished with 17 saves in goal.

For the Foes

• Kathleen Petrucelli had a game-high six goals and two assists for eight points.
• Caitlyn Damon and Noelle Shirey each scored five goals.
• Petrucelli and Shirey each had four caused turnovers.

• The Devils out-shot the Bulldogs, 39-17, and had a 24-18 edge in ground balls.
• Draw controls were about even with FDU winning 14 and DSU 13.
