Wilkes-Barre, PA (April 21, 2018) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team saw a second-half comeback come up short falling to King's College, 8-5, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs struggled on the offensive end to start this game as King's opened up a 4-0 lead at the half scored the first goal of the second-half to lead 5-0.
• DSU finally got on the board at the 13:16 mark of the second half.
• After trading goals over the next six minutes the Bulldogs scored two straight to pull within three before time ran out on a comeback.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Freshman Julia Astram led the scoring with three goals, while freshman Sami Stahl and junior Katie Kingsland each scored a goal.
• Senior Sydney Mursko had an assist.
• Freshman Katie Stordy finished with four caused turnovers and three ground balls, while senior Kelly Meade and Stahl each had three caused turnovers and five ground balls.
• Freshman Rachel Sheubrooks and Kyra Myers combined to make nine saves.

For the Foes

• Anastasia Araviakis led the Monarchs with four goals and one assist and Kendra McCoy had three goals.
