Kelly Meade scored five goals and tallied seven points but the DeSales University women's lacrosse team fell at Manhattanville College, 16-13, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
- DeSales never trailed in the opening 30 minutes and led by as many as three goals (4-1) early before a goal by freshman Julia Astram with 1:08 to go in the half gave the Bulldogs a 7-6 halftime advantage.
- A slow start to the second-half ultimately doomed the Bulldogs as the Valiants scored the first four goals of the half to take a 10-7 lead.
- DSU fought back nearly the entire half and pulled to within two goals (14-12) with 5:59 to go on consecutive goals from junior Katie Kingsland but two straight tallies from MVC sealed the win for the home team.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Meade broke the single-game record for points in a game with her five goals and two assists for seven points.
- Kingsland and freshman Eilis McCall each had three goals and senior Sydney Mursko tied her own record with four assists.
- Astram finished with two goals and one assist and freshman Katie Stordy added an assist.
- Meade also had four draw controls, six ground balls, and three caused turnovers, while Stordy and freshman Sami Stahl won three draw controls.
- Freshman Rachel Sheubrooks and Kyra Myers combined to make 13 saves.
For the Foes
- Jenna Nance had six goals and an assist for seven points.
- Melissa O'Mara finished with five goals.
- Rosie DeBellis had one goal and three assists.
- O'Mara added 11 draw controls and Bella Marchiselli finished with 11 saves.
Inside the Box Score
- Manhattanville had slim leads in both shots (34-30) and ground balls (26-25) in the win.
