Center Valley, PA (April 18, 2018) - The DeSales University women's tennis scored an important 5-4 win over Misericordia University in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (10-4, 3-2 MAC Freedom) cruised out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play as senior
Kelly Nguyen teamed with sophomore
Amber Achenbach to win 8-3 at the No. 1 flight. Sophomores
Kelsey Kazlauskas and
Sarah Chan earned an 8-5 win in the No. 2 slot, and Freshman
Alex Rodier teamed with sophomore
Amanda Becker to win 8-6 in the No. 3 position.
DSU had to battle hard to earn its final two points in singles play. Nguyen won easily at the No. 1 flight, 6-3, 6-1 and the final point came from Chan in the No. 4 spot winning a tight match, 7-6 (7-5), 7-5.
DeSales is now just one win away from clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason when they host King's College in MAC Freedom action on Saturday, April 28th.
