Kingston, PA (April 28, 2018) - The DeSales University baseball team earned hard fought 2-1 win in game one before being rained out leading 1-0 in the second inning of game two on Saturday at Wilkes University in MAC Freedom action.
The second game will be picked up where it left off on Sunday but at DeSales before the third game of the series which was scheduled for Butz Field already. Game time for finish of today's second game (which will be a 7-inning game) will be 1:00 pm with the third game of the series to follow 30 minutes after.
In the opener the Bulldogs won a pitcher's duel as freshman
Ian Kacergis earned his fifth win of the season allowing just three hits and one unearned run, striking out seven over 6 1/3 innings. Senior
Konner Schneider got the final two outs to earn his fourth save of the year.
After DSU went down 1-0 in the first inning, the Bulldogs tied the game in the on a bases loaded walk from junior
Tommy Epsaro. It remained a tie game at one into the fifth inning when the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead on an RBI single from senior
Randal Pacchioli plating Epsaro and the pitching staff did the rest.

Preston Amato were the lone Bulldogs with multiple hits in the win.
