Allentown, PA (April 30, 2018) - The DeSales University baseball team plated 22 runs and shook off a 4-0 deficit to rout local rival Muhlenberg College, 22-6, in non-conference action on Monday afternoon.
Muhlenberg scored once in the first inning and three times in the second inning to take a 4-0 lead before DeSales got five runs in both the third and fourth innings to take control.
Senior 
Conner Lafferty had the big blow in the third hitting a grand slam, while freshmen 
Cody Mish and 
Sean Hanczaryk each had RBI hits in the fourth.
DSU added solo runs in the fifth and seventh innings and scored twice in the eighth on RBI singles from freshman 
Brandon DiChiacchio and junior 
Charlie Barebo before blowing the game wide open with eight runs in the ninth inning to provide the final tally.
DeSales has one more game, traveling to Drew University on Wednesday, before embarking on the MAC Freedom Postseason Tournament this upcoming weekend.
